English
In English, we focused on these books to inspire our writing.

After Christmas, the children received a very strange delivery of toys from outer space, which inspired lots of exciting writing activities.

Maths
In Maths, we have been focusing on multiplication and division. The children have continued to progress through their Number Ninjas challenges. To support their learning at home, please encourage them to log in regularly to their TT Rock Stars accounts.

Science
In Science, Year 2 have been learning about micro-habitats and exploring the different environments where living things can be found. Year 1 have been learning about sensitive bodies - identifying and naming body parts and conducting practical activities with the senses to spot patterns and answer questions. 

History
In History, we have been investigating the question, “How have toys changed over time?” The children have enjoyed comparing toys from the past with those we play with today.

Science

In Science, we have been looking at the uses of everyday materials. The children enjoyed comparing the suitability of materials by carrying out tests and recording data.  

Geography 

In Geography, we have been investigating the question 'What is it like here?' The children have enjoyed exploring aerial photographs of our school and local area. They have created their own maps, identified key features on maps and have carried out surveys.
