Online Safety

At Crabbs Cross Academy we take Online Safety very seriously and do everything we can to teach your children about how to keep themselves safe using technology. We know that for our children, technology and being online are a significant part of their day-to-day life. We recognise that the internet can be a marvellous place providing opportunities for learning, communicating and interacting. However, we are also aware that there can be dangers, hazards and risks associated with being online and we have a duty to ensure we all work together to safeguard our children and enable them to make good, informed choices to keep themselves and others safe.

You will find our Online Safety policy and Acceptable Use Agreements at the bottom of this page. It is very important to us that parents and carers have an opportunity to contribute to our policies, so if you would like to make any suggestions or have any feedback about the policy, please speak to Miss Power.

Please find below some useful links for parents to support your children and keep them safe online. If you ever have any questions or queries about online safety and would like some help or advice, please do not hesitate to contact our online safety lead teacher, Miss Power.

Other information about what we are doing in school and information for you can be accessed through the tabs.

All teachers and teaching assistants have participated in 'Online Safety' training delivered by Miss Power. As part of the training we discussed our moral and legal requirements to safeguard all children when they are online, whether this is in school or out of school. A copy of the training can be viewed below. This training has also been shared with our Governing body.
