Attendance

At Crabbs Cross Academy, we work closely with families to promote excellent attendance and ensure that every child can benefit fully from their education. Our Attendance Lead, Mrs Dunstan, supported by the school office and our Family Support Worker, monitors attendance daily and identifies any emerging patterns of concern at an early stage.

When a child’s attendance begins to dip, we offer an early help approach, including supportive conversations with parents, signposting to services, and personalised plans to remove barriers to regular attendance. This may involve working with our Family Support Worker for practical help, arranging check‑ins, or offering tailored strategies to improve routines. By acting early and working in partnership with families, we aim to prevent small issues from escalating and ensure that every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn every day.
